Cranbourne gardens
HI EVERYONE!
As part of our history unit, we are looking into Indigenous Culture. To help with our research, we went to Cranbourne Gardens. Steve was our guide he taught us lot about indigenous culture.
When we first arrived, we had a break and ate our snack. Steve taught us about all the tools and we got to feel and touch all the tools and toys. I loved touching the possum skin, it was so warm. We also heard a frog just in a nearby
Steve also told and showed us the plants at the food garden. My favourite plant was the lemon myrtle leaf, it smelt so good. Steve showed us so many bush foods. I wish we could eat and try the fruits and herbs.
Steve took us to this boab tree, it was cool that we could hear water trickling down in the tree. Next to the boab tree we made ochre paint and painted on rocks and our faces!
I and my group went on a treasure hunt we had to find and do all the activities but we didn’t win.
We had an an amazing day and ended our day with a play at the play ground.

Aged Care Visit
Hi everyone!
Last Wednesday, I and my class went a nursing home to connect with the elders. We had to make a me bag to bring there. When I went there I was super nervous.
Jess took our temperatures and wrote our name down then we went down the elevator were the elders were sitting. We showed them our stuff in our me bag. Some of the elders were hard to talk to but my friend just told me to nod my head if I didn’t understand what they was saying. At the end we when back to our school and went back home.
